The Asana Audit for marketing and creative teams

The 21 Knots Asana Audit is a 2–4 week review of how your team actually uses Asana, ending with a findings report, a prioritized implementation roadmap and a live readout.

  • For marketing and creative teams whose Asana rollout has gotten messy, noisy or unevenly adopted.
  • Takes 2–4 weeks, mostly driven by stakeholder scheduling.
  • Priced up front, from $4,600.
  • You leave with a Findings and Recommendations Report and an Implementation Roadmap ranked by what to fix first.

What is the Asana Audit?

A structured look at how your team really uses Asana today, and a roadmap to the setup you should have. We interview the people who live in Asana, review the workspace itself, and tell you plainly what is working, what isn’t, and what to fix first. It is led by Rebecca Tasetano, 21 Knots’ Asana Practice Lead.

Who needs one?

Teams usually come to us after saying something like:

  • “The rollout is a little messy. Getting people to adopt is also a little messy.”
  • “It becomes this super noisy thing that doesn’t really tell anyone anything.”
  • “Everything is everywhere and it’s really hard to find.”
  • “Nobody is really governing Asana, so it’s easy for it to get kind of messy.”
  • “Some people are using Asana a lot and some people are using Asana not a lot.”
  • “I don’t want it to be overly engineered.”
  • “Beyond just creating the framework, the change management is the piece where I am concerned.”

What's included?

  • A current-state assessment of how Asana is actually being used.
  • Stakeholder interviews, and what we heard in them.
  • A workspace and process audit: teams, projects, portfolios, templates, custom fields, forms, dashboards, automations, permissions and adoption gaps.
  • A Findings and Recommendations Report.
  • An Implementation Roadmap, prioritized by what to fix or build first.
  • A live readout call where Rebecca walks your team through the findings.
  • A practical next-step scope: what 21 Knots can implement, and what your team can take on itself.

How long does it take?

Typically 2–4 weeks in total, mostly driven by how quickly stakeholder interviews can be scheduled. We start with access and interviews, then review the workspace and prepare the findings. The report and readout are usually ready 1–2 weeks after the last interview.

What does it cost?

From $4,600, priced up front. No surprise change orders, no per-hour billing.

What happens after?

The roadmap is yours to use however you like. When teams ask us to keep going, the next step is usually:

  • Fixing the first priority workflows: templates, governance, naming conventions, fields, forms, dashboards, permissions and automations.
  • Focused training or office hours for key users.
  • A monthly Asana managed-services retainer.
  • Adjacent work such as a Salesforce–Asana integration, a department rollout, org-wide Asana 101 training, or a quarterly workspace cleanup.

Frequently asked questions

How much of our team’s time does the audit take?

Mostly the stakeholder interviews at the start. After those, 21 Knots reviews the workspace and prepares the findings, so your next commitment is the readout call. Interview scheduling is the main thing that sets the pace.

Our real problem is adoption, not setup. Will an audit help?

Yes. The stakeholder interviews and the adoption-gap review are there to find out why some people live in Asana and others avoid it, and the roadmap addresses both the structure and the people side. Focused training or office hours for key users is a common follow-on.

Do we have to hire 21 Knots to fix what the audit finds?

No. The roadmap spells out what your team can take on itself, so you can act on it with or without us.

Is the audit only for marketing teams?

No. It’s designed with marketing and creative teams in mind, and 21 Knots has also reworked Asana for university communications departments and event teams.

Can you look at how Asana connects to Salesforce?

The audit focuses on Asana, but 21 Knots is a partner for both platforms and Salesforce–Asana integration is a common next step. If the Salesforce side needs attention too, see the Salesforce Health Check.
